Did We Really Win the Cold War?

That is the question that has been going through my mind of late.

Much of my formative years took place during the 1970's and 80's. There were was always this prevalent fear about nuclear war with the Soviet Union and the destruction of our homeland.

These fears were reflected in popular culture in and movies such as "The Day After" that chronicled the lives of residents who lived near several Minuteman missile silos outside Kansas City. In the movie, there is a full scale nuclear strike on the United States that pretty much ends life as we know it. The movie hit home with a lot of people, including Ronald Reagan, who was reported to have been visibly shaken after watching the film.

The threat of nuclear annihilation was one of the aspects that helped bring the United States and the Soviet Union together. The continual buildup of forces and the Afghan war were key factors in the eventual collapse of the Soviet Union and its satellite countries.

By the end of the 1980's it seemed that Communism would go the way of the eight track player and beta cassettes. Waves of democratic populism swept across the Eurasian continent, ending dictatorships from East Germany to Romania. The hammer and sickle came crashing down in 1990 as the Soviet Union dissolved into separate states. A new red, white, and blue flag flew over the Kremlin and it seemed like the Cold War was finally over.

But was it?

Did the Cold War actually end in 1990 with the western powers led by the United States reaping the benefits? Or was the end of the Cold War a cover for a plan that was much more sinister that would not come to fruition for decades?

It wasn't long after the official end of the Cold War that president George H. W. Bush proclaimed that there was good chance for a New World Order.

A New World Order? What is a New World Order?

A New World Order is basically a global centralized government where you have an elite ruling class and a common populace. In 1990, there wasn't a framework in place to roll out this New World Order. In order to be able to have a New Work Order you need complete control over the populace. That aim and goal would have not been possible in the late 1980's.

So, how do you bring about those aims? First off, you need to end the Cold War. You cannot have two common enemies. You need to bring about a false peace so you can implement your plan for a New World Order. During the Cold War, both sides were awake and vigilant. You could not get away with implementing a plan when the spotlights are on and the dog patrols are searching the perimeter.

It would have to be done in another way.

There are a couple of things that need to be done in order to accomplish this. The first thing you need to do is have a period of prolonged peace. For twenty or so years so you have a generation that has not grown up with the specter of war. Next, you need to consolidate power. You need to create geopolitical partnerships that slowly erode away the individual nation-states. This can be done with nation-state unions as well as trade deals. Socially, you need to break up the family and religious systems and replace them autonomous systems reliant on the state. You need to destroy personal identity and confuse gender lines. You need to destroy the patriarchy and weaken masculinity. You need to socially shame people who disagree with the new trends to discourage them from dissenting. You need to promote globalism and destroy the economic bases of Western powers, most specifically the United States. This will make the common class dependent on government assistance. You need to consolidate all forms of payment into one controlled currency that can be taxed as well as controlled if need be. And finally, you need to stage a false flag incident as an excuse to consolidate power.

That is the aims of a New World Order.

Sound familiar?

Do you really think we won the Cold War or was winning the "Cold War" actually a cover for something much more nefarious?

Where do you think we are now? Are we close to the New World Order that Bush talk so gleefully about almost 30 years ago?

I guess only time will tell!

Yes We Can Talk About President Obama

I have a confession to make.

I voted for Obama twice!

Yes, I voted not once, but twice for our fearless leader.

Why? Why? Why?

Well, way back in 2008 during the Presidential Election I was captivated by a certain community organizer. A man who captivated thousands with his speaking skills. A man who promised to bring about real change.

Change you can believe in!

I remember the day when he won the Presidential Election. I remember the warm November night and the thousands of hopeful Americans like myself who really believed that Obama was change we could believe in.

Well, unfortunately it didn't turn out that way.

As it turned out, Obama was a great at reading the teleprompter. He was a master! He promised so many things. So many things that I don't even know where to begin. He promised to unify a country that was severely fractured after eight years of George W. Bush rule. He promised to bring jobs back to America and to unify all Americans, regardless of race or background. He promised to make Chicago his own Kennebunkport and to visit as often as possible.

I think I can count on one hand how many times Obama has come back to Chicago since ascending the presidency.

It has not turned out as expected.

America is more divided as ever. Obama has opened the liberal floodgates and has accelerated the destruction of the moral fabric of this country. He has continued to sell out the American people by supporting globalist initiatives. He has been brash, abrasive, arrogant, and taken more vacations than Bob Hope.

He has probably played more rounds of golf than Hope as well.

I guess you could call Obama Golfer in Chief. I think Obama and Bush would make quite a golfing duo. They should both join the Senior PGA Tour.

Anyways, I am digressing. Obama has been a huge disappointment. He has done basically nothing for the common American. The Obamacare healthcare act is atrocious and is loaded with pork. It screws over common Americans.

He has been a poor leader. He has done everything in his power to lead from behind. He has let Christianity be destroyed. He has put the needs and securities of Americans behind the agenda of the globalists who want to destroy this country. He has abused executive orders and has disregarded the popular opinions of most Americans. He has disregarded the constitution.

Should I continue?

You know what, I am tired... He has been a major disappointment. He is supposed to be the leader of the free world. Someone who we can believe in. He has been a fool!

So, who was worse? Obama or Bush?

Wanna play CLUE in West Texas?

The most conservative justice on the Supreme Court died this past weekend due to "natural causes".

Case closed!

Well, that is what the mainstream media would like you to believe.

Antonin Scalia was by far the most conservative and outspoken member of the SCOTUS. He held the line on many flashpoint issues including gay marriage, abortion, and gun laws. He was reviled by liberals and lauded by conservatives as a defender of the constitution.

The 79 year old justice died this past weekend. There was no autopsy. No investigation. Not a peep from the mainstream media.

The only two major independent voices who have questioned the official narrative are Alex Jones of Infowars and Michael Savage of the Savage Nation.

Isn't that supposed to be the job of journalists?

Apparently not!

There are reports that Scalia was found with a pillow over his head. It is also reported that Scalia stayed at a ranch of a well-known democratic donor who has close ties to President Obama.

By the way, this person also was in the military and a member of the special forces.

But nothing to see here! Nothing to see!

God forbid someone like Jones or Savage questions the official narrative. The mainstream media has called persons like Jones "kooks" or "conspiracy theorists".

As of Tuesday evening, there has been no autopsy. According to Joe Biggs of Infowars, the bodily fluids needed for an investigation have been disposed.

Of course, there is a good chance as well that Scalia died of the official cause, natural causes. But a person of the statue of Scalia should have had a full autopsy to eliminate the chance of foul play.

He was a Supreme Court justice!

This smells fishy to me. Why aren't journalists down in Texas doing an investigation? Why was there not a detail assigned to Scalia? Why would Scalia go away for a hunting weekend on Valentine's Day weekend? Where are the security tapes?

I'm ashamed that the mainstream controlled media has failed once again to do their job. Not a peep!

So what does this mean?

Well, it means that Obama will try to nominate a replacement who is on the far left end of the spectrum. If confirmed, this person will pave the way for radical changes to the way we live our lives as Americans.

Game changer!

What do I think? I think it is really odd that a justice on the Supreme Court was not given an official autopsy. How can you determine within hours that Scalia died of "natural causes?"

You can't!

Either there was gross negligence or he was murdered.

I just wish the mainstream media would get a CLUE.

Investigate DAMMIT!

A Weeknight at Bernies - NH Primary

Does anyone remember the movie A Weekend at Bernies?

It was one of those movies that seemed to be commonplace in the 1980's. A silly movie that featured a corpse and two guys who partied and fumbled their way through a weekend.

I think there can be some correlations drawn from that movie and the results of tonight's Democratic New Hampshire primary. You got a guy named Bernie, a bunch of college kids, and a dead ideology that seems to be the new flavor of the week for the Democratic party.

Socialism was the big winner tonight. The official results are not available as of yet but it looks like Sanders beat Clinton by a significant margin. Early returns show that Sanders championed the youth vote as well as every other key socioeconomic demographic. The only demographics where Sanders struggled were with the rich, over 65 crowd who undoubtedly were going for Hillary Clinton.

Not bad for a old white dude from Brooklyn.

But wait! Why on earth would young people go out in droves to vote for a guy who goes against all the official programming prevalent in the mainstream?

Well, I have an interesting theory about that.

The millennial generation has been given the proverbial jackboot from the Establishment. Millennials are struggling. Millennials are debt ridden. Wages for most Millennials are less than previous generations.

For this generation, they were told by their narcissistic baby boomer parents that they were all winners. Their parents gave them everything they wanted or needed. They all were coddled. They all were told how special they were. They were all brainwashed in the government controlled liberal education system that lauded countries such as Sweden for their socialist Utopian systems.

So, my theory is that an old coot socialist like Sanders that feeds into the anti-Establishment angst and offers platitudes such as free college, gives these brainless idiots someone to rally around.

Much to the chagrin of Madeline Albright, Gloria Steinem and Hillary Clinton.

The truth is however that Sanders elixir for millennial blight is nothing more than a bottle of highly taxed snake oil.

Unfortunately, the real cost of Sanders socialism won't be apparent until the product is bought.

My advice to any millennial reading this is do your homework on all the candidates. Don't just follow the crowd.

As for the rest of the candidates...

On the Republican side, it looks like businessman Donald Trump is going to win New Hampshire by a significant margin as well. A whole plethora of candidates are registering around 10 percent at publish.

Thoughts on the candidates...

Trump: I like Trump. He doesn't seem to be in cahoots with the Establishment. He seems to want to put America first ahead of globalist interests. Out of all the candidates, he seems to best equipped to turn this country around. I don't like his arrogance. I don't completely trust him but since the whole Establishment has made it clear he is a threat, he has my support for now.

Carson: Another populist. I like him but I think his past has come back to haunt him. Those weird revelations about his anger issues deep-sixed his campaign.

Cruz: A phony! Plain and simple. Pretends to be anti-Establishment but is a shrewd speaker and a good actor.

Bush: Establishment

Rubio: Establishment golden boy who is I'll prepared for prime time.

Kasich: Not sure what to make of him.

Christie: Too many warts. Bridge scandal shows his lack of trustworthiness. His stance on Russia turned me off. His foreign policies would bring about World War III

and Clinton: Not trustworthy. Should not even be allowed to run.

What now...

Next up is South Carolina and in a few weeks Super Tuesday.

I predict Carson will drop out soon and throw his support to Trump.

Stay tuned!

Red Light, Green Light 1.2.3...

I am a fan of freedom.

It doesn't matter if it is here in the United States or somewhere else in the world, I want people to be happy and free.

Unfortunately, it seems like freedom is becoming a rare commodity.

I was thinking about this on the way to my friends Super Bowl party. Here in the United States we gather with friends and family on the first weekend in February to watch the championship game of American professional football.

On the drive over to my friends house I passed several red light cameras, which were installed to catch people who disobey traffic laws. These cameras also provide a steady stream of revenue for the municipalities they serve.

I thought to myself as I passed several of these cameras...

"What has happened to this country?"

We are now living in the world that George Orwell predicted in the novel "1984". It just took about 32 years after his novel prediction for it to come to fruition.

Cameras and surveillance have become so commonplace that being able to live a life of anonymity has become almost impossible. We are tracked constantly from the metadata in our cellphones to cameras that are located in just about every possible location.

How would our founding fathers feel about this level of surveillance?

I'm sure there would be a lot of broken cameras.

Surveillance is one of the things that scares me the most about modern society. The land of the free and the home of the brave is becoming more and more a distant memory. Now, proponents of surveillance would say that it benefits the populace by having records of illegal activities. Sure, that is a benefit but what about all the negatives that come along with the elimination of privacy?

I survived the red light cameras!

I made it to my friends house and stopped legally at all seven intersections.

Hopefully I won't get a ticket by "accident"

Companies CANNOT Help Tackle Internet Trolls

I was scanning the web last night and I came across a column by Rex Huppke, a reporter for the Chicago Tribune. The title of the column was "Companies Can Help Tackle Internet Trolls". The author advocates that a person's free speech doesn't protect from being terminated for a job for comments that venture away from accepted politically correct tone.

Huppke makes some examples.

The article can me read in whole here: http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/careers/ct-huppke-work-advice-0207-biz-20160203-column.html

The jest of the column is that this author Huppke believes that companies have the right to terminate an employee if it is discovered that this person is making comments that could besmirch the reputation of a said company.

Questions for Huppke, how do you know nowadays what offends a specific person or a specific group of people? Why are women the only ones in society and workplace who can be called disparaging names? Do you think limiting speech on any level is opening a Pandora's Box that will lead to other forms of "Staziesque" oppression?

No, this author doesn't see it!

It seems like Huppke is more interested in writing a politically correct narrative than being a man and dealing with people who may troll him and make "not-so-nice" comments.

Cry me a river, Huppke!

This is the problem we have today in mainstream journalism. You have writers who advocate things such as that. If someone is making physical threats to a person then I feel it should be investigated and dealt with. However, if someone hurls insults at you or says things you may not like it shouldn't equate into calling in the HR brown dress brigade.

Oops, I wasn't politically correct. I guess my place of employment is going to get a call about how I am besmirching their reputation by being honest.

People should be allowed to troll away. Insults are good! It means that we are living in a free society. Look back forty or so years and you'd see a landscape on television of plenty of shows that were based on insulting behavior.

I don't think Archie Bunker would last five minutes in this oppressive society.

I think Archie Bunker would be out of work.

I think Archie Bunker would not be able to be a bigot.

It's a shame because what the world really needs now are more Archie Bunker's and less Michael Stivic's.

Huppke, what do you think about that?

When in the Course of Human Events...

Something has to change.

As I sit here this morning writing this blog post I think about the current state of this government. I think about the millions of ordinary Americans who are struggling to make ends meet. I think about a privileged political class that says one thing and does something completely else. I think about the journalistic profession that has gone from objectivity to collusion with the powers that be who could care less about the needs of the American people.

I think about many things.

First off, I love this country. I love the freedoms that are guaranteed to us under the Constitution. We are one imperfect union. A melting pot of different ideals and beliefs. I think it is safe to say that there are a majority of Americans who love this country and just want to have a piece of the American Dream.

However, I see that dream which has been woven into the fabric of Americana is slowing being eroded away. I see people making less and less money. I see young people starting out their journey saddled in debt. I see divisions among Americans that are tearing apart the common bonds that bind us.

At the same time I see politicians betraying the populace by putting the needs of global banks and organizations ahead of the best interests of the people they are supposed to serve. I see the mainstream media controlled by a small group of people who don't hold the best interests of the American people.

I see... too much!

So, that is why I have decided to stand up. Yes, I am one person but my forefathers were in similar places over 200 years ago. I am not calling for a revolution by force. I calling for a revolution in thought. A awakening. An awakening where the common person, whomever they are, regardless of where they live, to unite and to take our country back.

We the People. Yes. Black, White, Orange, Man, Woman, Christian, Jew, Muslim, whatever! We are Americans. We need to pull together and put our needs back where they belong.

We do live in a world that is more connected. But it doesn't mean that we need to give up OUR identity as Americans to bow down to some greater world entity.

I was a former journalist. I have been published on the regional and national stage. I left journalism because I realized that it was no longer a honorable profession. Journalists are no longer free. They are beholden to editors and the power of corporate and political interests.
\
The truth, well, you won't hear that at a mainstream newspaper or on Fox News or CNN.com. Find your own truth. I will do my best to report it!

God Bless America
