A Weeknight at Bernies - NH Primary

Does anyone remember the movie A Weekend at Bernies?

It was one of those movies that seemed to be commonplace in the 1980's. A silly movie that featured a corpse and two guys who partied and fumbled their way through a weekend.

I think there can be some correlations drawn from that movie and the results of tonight's Democratic New Hampshire primary. You got a guy named Bernie, a bunch of college kids, and a dead ideology that seems to be the new flavor of the week for the Democratic party.

Socialism was the big winner tonight. The official results are not available as of yet but it looks like Sanders beat Clinton by a significant margin. Early returns show that Sanders championed the youth vote as well as every other key socioeconomic demographic. The only demographics where Sanders struggled were with the rich, over 65 crowd who undoubtedly were going for Hillary Clinton.

Not bad for a old white dude from Brooklyn.

But wait! Why on earth would young people go out in droves to vote for a guy who goes against all the official programming prevalent in the mainstream?

Well, I have an interesting theory about that.

The millennial generation has been given the proverbial jackboot from the Establishment. Millennials are struggling. Millennials are debt ridden. Wages for most Millennials are less than previous generations.

For this generation, they were told by their narcissistic baby boomer parents that they were all winners. Their parents gave them everything they wanted or needed. They all were coddled. They all were told how special they were. They were all brainwashed in the government controlled liberal education system that lauded countries such as Sweden for their socialist Utopian systems.

So, my theory is that an old coot socialist like Sanders that feeds into the anti-Establishment angst and offers platitudes such as free college, gives these brainless idiots someone to rally around.

Much to the chagrin of Madeline Albright, Gloria Steinem and Hillary Clinton.

The truth is however that Sanders elixir for millennial blight is nothing more than a bottle of highly taxed snake oil.

Unfortunately, the real cost of Sanders socialism won't be apparent until the product is bought.

My advice to any millennial reading this is do your homework on all the candidates. Don't just follow the crowd.

As for the rest of the candidates...

On the Republican side, it looks like businessman Donald Trump is going to win New Hampshire by a significant margin as well. A whole plethora of candidates are registering around 10 percent at publish.

Thoughts on the candidates...

Trump: I like Trump. He doesn't seem to be in cahoots with the Establishment. He seems to want to put America first ahead of globalist interests. Out of all the candidates, he seems to best equipped to turn this country around. I don't like his arrogance. I don't completely trust him but since the whole Establishment has made it clear he is a threat, he has my support for now.

Carson: Another populist. I like him but I think his past has come back to haunt him. Those weird revelations about his anger issues deep-sixed his campaign.

Cruz: A phony! Plain and simple. Pretends to be anti-Establishment but is a shrewd speaker and a good actor.

Bush: Establishment

Rubio: Establishment golden boy who is I'll prepared for prime time.

Kasich: Not sure what to make of him.

Christie: Too many warts. Bridge scandal shows his lack of trustworthiness. His stance on Russia turned me off. His foreign policies would bring about World War III

and Clinton: Not trustworthy. Should not even be allowed to run.

What now...

Next up is South Carolina and in a few weeks Super Tuesday.

I predict Carson will drop out soon and throw his support to Trump.

Stay tuned!
